Chris Haik is the President of Haik Insurance Holdings (HIH), which was founded in 2014. He has over 17 years of combined industry experience working within the governmental and private insurance sector. He began his career at the Louisiana Department of Insurance, working directly for the Commissioner of Insurance from 1998-2002. He served in many capacities under the guidance of former Commissioner Jim Brown and Robert Wooley spending two years with the Louisiana Rating Commission and another two years with the LA Property & Casualty Insurance Commission.

After his time at the Department of Insurance, he worked 12 years as a producer for Brown & Brown and Insurance Underwriters. He became an insurance producer in 2002 and quickly established a successful track record in the industry. He was acknowledged nationally as one of a select group of top BNB insurance executives and named Vice President of Brown & Brown – Louisiana. At Insurance Underwriters, he helped facilitate & manage a branch location in Lafayette that consistently produced revenue growth each year in operation.

His professional specialties lie in the large commercial property & casualty field with a primary focus on a select few industries – Energy, Healthcare & Human Service, Construction, Non-Profit, and Transportation. He has been an active participant and guest speaker for many state associations.

During his tenure with the Louisiana Dept. of Insurance, he served as Executive Director of the LA Property & Casualty Task Force in 2000-2001 and elected Chairman of the Board for the Southwest Louisiana DWI Task Force in 2001-2002.  He currently serves a committee member on the Louisiana Property & Casualty Insurance Commission (LPCIC), which was established by the Louisiana State Legislature to review and examine the availability & affordability of property and casualty insurance in the state of Louisiana. He has also served on numerous insurance company advisory councils on both the local and national basis.

Chris is an active member of the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research. He holds a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) professional designation and was a graduate of the National Alliance Producer School. He is a graduate of The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and attended Catholic High School in New Iberia, LA.
